UNATION / ATL Press Release

In UNATION by John Bartoletta

We are excited to announce UNATION has forged a new partnership with The American Track League (ATL), a fast-paced, entertainment-driven professional track circuit that brings Olympic & World Champion athletes closer to their fans in a way not seen before in professional track and field.

ATL describes their events as the place “where the party meets the track”. The group brings the world’s greatest athletes out for one-night for the fastest party in the US. The events add a personal connection between the fans and the athletes with trackside seats, photo opportunities, exclusive in-field access, and more to make this meet circuit for the fans. The first ATL event of 2016 will be June 4th in Atlanta, Georgia.

UNATION’s CEO John Bartoletta said “We see amazing potential in the relationship with the American Track League. First, track and field boasts the highest participation of any sport in the United States.  And second, the American Track League has found a unique way to bring the fan closer to the athlete, which is at the core of our business model, connecting people around events.”

This innovative take on professional track and field is the creation of American Track League’s CEO Paul Doyle, a prominent figure in the world of track and field. Doyle says, “The partnership with UNATION makes sense, as UNATION brings a level of event specific marketing and ticketing capabilities not found in professional athletics.  This partnership builds a foundation that will elevate our visibility around the events and allow our fans to easily purchase tickets and interact from their phones”.

Doyle has been the CEO of Doyle Management Group, an international sports agency, for over 17 years and the CEO of Doyle Sports Performance, elite level sports performance training for professional athletes in all sports, for over 5 years.

Doyle and his team at ATL chose to utilize UNATION’s ticketing solution to sell varying levels of tickets ranging from general admission to in-field access during the event’s live broadcast on ESPN.

A typical ATL event promises to include Olympians and World Champion athletes in addition to celebrity sightings among thousands of screaming fans. The event will also feature live music, cheerleaders, sports vendors, VIP lounges, and more. The most exciting element of the ATL events is the fan interaction with the Athletes. This interaction is the perfect way to allow fans to connect further with the world of track and field as well as the athletes.

UNATION CSO George Beardsley says. “Partnering with ATL makes so much sense to UNATION because they  understand the big picture of fan engagement. Events like these are all about the fans and having them leave with an experience they will not soon forget.”
